Here’s a helpful hint you may not have thought of…if you have chosen a photographer that is going to shoot in a photojournalistic style, make sure that your parents and grandparents understand this. Let them know that the photographer will be taking unusual shots or not doing posed pictures. Maybe show them some examples so that they understand.
Photography has changed quite a bit since your parents got married and even more since your grandparents. I have had, on more than one occasion, parents or grandparents hopping mad with a photographer because they were taking “crazy shots” or not getting family pictures. The bride and groom had not bothered to explain what they were wanting from the photographer to the family, so the family just did not understand and were furious at the photographer.
